Workplace Relationships

Work Relationships

We spend a lot of time with the people in our workplace. Sometimes more than we do with family. As such the long-term relationships in which we find ourselves at work must be carefully nurtured. We offer a collection of courses and coaching services designed specifically for improving the delicate art of getting along.

The Executive Assistant Survival Guide: We have worked with a lot of Executive Assistants over the years, and we have been able to pull together great advice, do's & don'ts and war stories from those who have been EA's and survived. Topics include: Managing your manager; dealing with coworkers and colleagues; gaining and maintaining respect; Time Management for EA's; stress management and work-life balance; organizational skills; understanding power relationships; business writing fundamentals; proactive planning; nutrition essentials.

An EA working for a Type-A: Building Great Teams. Do you work for a financial advisor, a wealth manager, a mortgage broker, real estate agent, lawyer, or similar type of professional? Or are you one yourself? If so you're in a tricky relationship: wholly entrepreneurial, sales and customer relationships are your bread and butter. But how well do the two of you get along? Is there a synergy that allows the A-Type manager to maximize business opportunity and maximize the productivity of his/her support team? We offer a special coaching session specifically for teams like yours. We have worked with hundreds of similar teams in banking, insurance, real estate and law. We can help break down the barriers of communication and personality that often stand in the way of reaching a team's full potential. This is not motivational speaking - this is real-world experience available to you. Private and practical.

Conflict Management for Managers: Identifying and handling conflicts in the office are a source of stress, delay and discomfort. We offer private coaching on how to identify conflict, and how to rationally choose the right path for resolution. Remember - choosing the wrong path can be as dangerous as doing nothing at all. Whether you are personally involved in the conflict or are the mediator, this session gives you the rules and reasoning behind effective conflict management.

Giving Feedback for Performance Reviews or at other times: Giving feedback can be difficult. Both positive and negative feedback offer challenges to manager, which may result in behavioral or emotional disruptions among individual staff members. This coaching session/workshop offers practical skills and advice on how best to provide feedback in today's workplace.
