Generations at Work

Today’s workforce is the most age and value diverse workforce Canada has ever known. While there have always been different generations in the workforce, this is the first time that the traditional hierarchy based on age/seniority and forced mandatory retirement, no longer exist. People of all generations are now being asked to work together, side-by-side, cubicle-to-cubicle, in newly defined relationships.

The Generations and You program, delivers a clear understanding of the attitudes, strengths and weaknesses of these different, but co-existing groups.

Such knowledge is essential for professionals who wish to:

  • motivate and lead a diverse workforce
  • build cohesive teams
  • get projects completed on time
  • hire the right people by asking the right kinds of questions
  • manage meetings effectively
  • communicate effectively

YOU: In addition to identifying the people that work alongside you, this program also allows participants to understand more about you, yourself, including tolerance for stress, need for immediate gratification, their ability to influence others, even metabolic demands, in order to shape truly productive work habits. The session helps answer questions such as:

  • Do I use e-mail to communicate or hide behind?
  • How long am I able to focus?
  • When are my metabolic “high points” in the day?
  • Can I say “no” to overwork, or do I need it?
