Corporate Workshops

Duration:

Our corporate workshops are delivered as half-day or full-day in-house sessions. We deliver them with your company in mind - your budget, your business, and the availability of your staff.

Acceptance:

When you host a Bristall Morgan corporate workshop, you ensure heightened acceptance and implementation. As colleagues simultaneously hear and understand our branded terms and teaching style, it becomes part of the cultural lexicon and easier to adopt. And when managers or senior personnel attend all or part of a Bristall Morgan workshop, it reinforces levels of confidence and commitment among staff.

Learning Times:

Past clients have found the optimum set-up to be one or two 4-hour half day session(s) starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30. This offers several benefits:

  • Maximized learning duration without information overload
  • Class is held in the morning, when most people are at their most attentive and alert
  • Greater opportunity for relaxation and learning, knowing that a whole day's work is not being "lost," and that the student can return to the office after lunch

For organizations with many staff members to teach, two sessions can be held in one day: 8:30-12:30 and 1:00-5:00. (Afternoon sessions are structured slightly differently to compensate for the "afternoon effect.")

Content:

The content and benchmarks are determined through the following procedure:

  • Interview with stakeholders
  • Interview with role models
  • On-site observation and interviews of selected staff (when & where appropriate)
  • Confidential pre-course questionnaire
  • Review and approval of curriculum by stakeholders
  • Follow up: Every student receives one full year of personalized follow-up
  • Stakeholders receive a summary of expectations, as well as 1-month and 3-month benchmark follow-ups.

Depth:

As adult educators, our goal is the same as yours: to deliver relevant, practical skills to your workforce - skills that demonstrate an immediate and tangible benefit to your operations. This poses the challenge of how many topics to deliver in any given teaching session.

  • Ideally, we propose a "half-hour per topic" model, which allows sufficient time for introduction, discussion, and most importantly, practical exercise around a topic. This generally allows a group to take on 5 new skills per half-day session.
  • Other clients ask for a complete package, in which the half-day session covers a wider range of topics, but with less depth or opportunity for discussion and application.

We are of course interested in providing optimum education for your staff, and we work hard to ensure that whichever level of depth is chosen, our unique combination of pre-session preparation, top-quality facilitation, and thorough support and follow-up allows your staff to maximize their learning.
