February 24, 2012: COME OUT AND JOIN US!

Absolutely Jack returns to the Old Eton House to throw some hot water all over winter.

We have an expanded lineup of tunes and are roaring to go. The fun starts at 9:30 p.m. at The Olde Eton House - 710 Danforth Avenue, Toronto.

October 22, 2011: Absolutely Jack blew the roof off the place, playing a private 40th birthday party in at a beautiful house in North Etobicoke (Toronto).

The fun started at 9:00 and didn't end until past 3:00 a.m. Our hosts loved the way we incorporated their extra-special requests into the show, including the early rap classic "Rapper's Delight."

Nothing pleases us more than seeing our guests dancing, grooving and having fun!

July 30, 2011: We played the Eton House once again. An exhaustive three set show - 45 songs covering rock and dance music from the 60's through to today. George, Tom and everyone at the Eton House were just the coolest, and DJ Earl kept the sound mix grooving. "Play That Funky Music" contines to be a staple - a favourite with the dancing crowds, although they were also pleased by the inclusion of the B52's the Bangles and the Beatles. And that was just from the letter "B's."

Rachel and Frank were on top of the game, schmoozing and dancing with the audience, and Hari was just amazing on drums.

June 24, 2011: On a beautiful Friday evening on the Danforth in Toronto, Absolutely Jack made our Eton House debut. There was dancing right from the very start, and set 3 was made twice as long by our great audience who kept shouting "more! more! more!" We boogied to KC and the Sunshine Band and rocked out to Led Zeppelin and The Who.

Each set brought in more people, different people, which allowed us to extend the third set well into the wee hours. Last tune was at 2:00.

What a fabulous night!

Absolutely Jack plays a private 40th Birthday party in Oakville Gigmasters logo

June 18, 2011: With the Blues Brothers and Frank & Dean as the backdrop, Absolutely Jack played to a full house of revellers and party-goers, celebrating the 40th birthday of a very special lady. Things really got rolling after we sang "Happy Birthday" followed by the Beatles' rocking "Birthday," and then into our hostess's special request of the evening, Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls". From then on, it was dancing all night, until we closed the place at 2:00. Click here to review our client's 5/5 rating of our service, through GigMasters. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

Absolutely Jack plays the Goodlife Toronto Marathon Absolutely Jack plays the Goodlife Toronto Marathon May 15, 2011:We played to the energetic (and tired) runners in the Goodlife Toronto Marathon, on an outdoor stage in downtown Toronto. The weather was rainy and cool, but we played on a covered patio at Front & York - dead centre of downtown Toronto. It's very cool when the runners clap along to the music or even stop to take pictures of us!

A note of thanks from the organizers: "THANKS for helping to inspire our runners. I hope this is the beginning of a long term relationship." - Mike Collins, Goodlife Fitmess Marathon Committee.

Absolutely Jack plays the Mused 1.5 Japan Relief Concert

April 2, 2011:We played the Mused 1.5 Concert, to raise funds for Japanese Earthquake/Tsunami relief efforts. In the company of some excellent talent, we played to a full house at the Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in downtown Toronto. Thanks go out to Philippe Escayola for co-ordinating the event, and to Phill Spence and Jamen Dunnings for their excellent work in the rhythm section.

Parkdale Fireside Cuture Week

March 19, 2011:We played the Fireside Culture Week Festival at the new outdoor amphitheatre at Queen West and Dufferin in Downtown Toronto. We welcomed the arrival of spring AND Maestro Fresh Wes. How cool is that? Big note of thanks to Troy for shooting the video, and to drummer extraordinaire Rob Latimer for coming through even with a badly injured hand.

A note of thanks from the organizers: "Parkdale Village BIA would like to thank you and Absolutely Jack for participating in Fireside Culture Week 2011. Your performance helped make Fireside: Culture Day a big hit for the Parkdale community and its visitors. We hope you had a great time! Not only that, we successfully raised over $1200 for Parkdale Community Food Bank on Fireside: Culture Day alone! We couldn’t have done it without you!"

Playing at CG's Hideaway December 7, 2010:Absolutely Jack took the stage at CG's Hideaway, double-billed with Keith Jolie & The Quixotic Sounds.Yeah, the picture's a little grainy and faint, but the sound was fab and the people were just amazing.

Paramedics are fascinating people. They work so hard under the most difficult of circumstanced, yet when they play music, the really rock.

It was certainly a pleasure sharing the stage with them. And Keith Jolie is a wonderful singer.

Playing at the Rockpile September 12, 2010: We rocked the Rockpile with a set of non-stop dance tunes that got everyone in the place dancing. It was for a great cause and we had a great time.

September 9, 2010: Our Fall season "private party" was held at a beautiful café called the Riverdale Perk in east Toronto on September 9, 2010.(Check out the photo below) Thanks to Danielle for hosting us, to Marysia and Pauline, the Twohigs, Troy for the pix and video, and to everyone who came out to sing along with us.
